Bachelors Lodge Equestrian Centre is a Member of the Association of Irish Riding
Establishments (AIRE). A Member of the AIRE Committee inspected our facilities
and found them excellent in both Safety and Quality of Riding Instruction.
HOURS OF BUSINESS:
Bachelors Lodge Equestrian Centre is open Tuesday – Saturday.

BEGINNER LESSONS:
Beginners are started on a lead rein and have someone leading their horse until the
instructor deems the rider capable enough to ride safely unaccompanied.
GROUP LESSONS:
Most lessons at Bachelors Lodge take place in a group. We find this to be more fun for the
rider. We try to limit our maximum group size to 8 riders. However, private individual lessons
are available and some riders prefer a more one on one style of tuition with their instructor.
BLOCK BOOKINGS:
Lessons can be booked in blocks of 10, which includes 1 free lesson. We also encourage our
clients to book their lessons in monthly blocks if they are not booking a block of 10 lessons.
Once a block has started, your child will have the same horse and instructor for the month.
RIDING ATTIRE:
All Riders must be properly attired. (Safety Requirement)
- Riding Helmet up to Current Safety Standards (can be supplied for Beginners and first few group lessons).
- Riding Boots (No Runners, Laced Shoes or Work Boots) – can be supplied for Beginners)
- Jodhpurs (recommended), Tracksuit pants, Leggings. (No Shorts allowed)
- Gloves & Back Protector (Optional but recommended)
- Riding Crop (can be supplied for Beginners)
CANCELLATIONS:
24 HOURS NOTICE MUST BE GIVEN IF A LESSON IS CANCELLED OR RE-SCHEDULED. Bachelors Lodge
Equestrian Centre is very popular and we are often booked out. Notifying us of your cancellation
enables us to give another rider a chance to enjoy riding.
